Benidorm Moors & Christians Festival 2025: History, Parades, and Festive Spirit

Every October, Benidorm’s old town transforms into a stage of color, music, and pageantry with one of Spain’s most spectacular and symbolic celebrations: the Moors and Christians Festival. This year, from October 3rd to 5th, 2025, the streets will once again come alive with dazzling costumes, parades, medieval reenactments, and vibrant fiestas that connect the town with its rich cultural past.

A Celebration of History and Identity

The Moors & Christians Festival is deeply rooted in Spanish history, commemorating the battles between Christian and Moorish troops during the Reconquista. Beyond the historical symbolism, it is also a celebration of community, identity, and tradition.

In Benidorm, the festival has a special energy: it’s not just a series of parades, but an immersive experience where the town square is transformed into a medieval-style castle, locals march in elaborate costumes, and the atmosphere feels like stepping back in time — with a modern party twist. 🍻

Festival Highlights – Day by Day
